Everything I've figured out about getting hired as a developer
Hi, I'm Akash. I build GitFolio AI, and this is where I write down the stuff that actually worked — portfolios, resumes, GitHub, and the messy parts of the job hunt nobody really talks about.
Akash Nishad · writing & building GitFolioA while back I was firing resumes into the void and wondering why nothing ever came back. My GitHub was a graveyard of half-finished side projects, and my resume read like a copy-pasted job description.
Then I changed how I presented my work — cleaned up the projects that mattered, rewrote my resume for the humans (and the bots) reading it, and made my GitHub tell a story. The replies started coming. That gap — between doing the work and showing it well — is basically why GitFolio exists.
This blog is me writing that down as I go: the fixes, the mistakes I made so you don't have to, and the small things that quietly move the needle. No theory for the sake of it.
